Weekend At Disney

Sydney calls Disneyland "Disney".  We drove down to Disney for the weekend and had a wonderful time!  We met Jasmine for the first time.  We saw some parades and went on some new rides that Sydney has not been on before like Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters and Mickey's Fun Wheel and more...

This is the picture of a lady about to go to Disney.

This is the picture of a Daddy about to walk a mile to get there.

We got there and went straight to the Peter Pan ride!

You'll notice we have a new family member on this trip.  Her name is Merry Bear.  She is a bear from Sydney's school that all the kids at school get to take on vacation.  We take pictures with Merry Bear and they go in her scrapbook at school.  We have taken Merry Bear to Disneyland before and Hawaii.  She has been all around the world including Egypt and India!

Sydney is going to drive... oh my!  After a little bumping around for the first couple of minutes Sydney actually got the hang of it!  She even said "Mommy I'm really doing it!" at one point.

We got to see a parade with Mickey and lots of princesses!

Sydney is singing her "I'm going on the Winnie the Pooh ride" song.

Sydney took a picture of Alvin and I.  And Merry Bear.

Throwing coins in the fountain.  A little chilly!

And Sydney wanted me to take a picture of Merry Bear taking her nap.  I think she was warmer than Sydney.  I had to tell Sydney to switch jackets with Merry Bear since she had fur and Sydney didn't.

Wishing in Snow White's wishing well.

As we were heading over to California Adventure, Jasmine and Aladdin walked right by us headed to Adventureland.  So of course we followed!

We stopped in the theater on Main Street and watched Mickey's first cartoon, Steamboat Willie.  It was created in July 1928 and debuted in October 1928.  Sydney sees a scene from the cartoon at the beginning of her movies so it was fun to watch the whole cartoon along with other old Mickey cartoons!

Off to California Adventure to go on the Ariel ride and Mickey's Fun Wheel (in the background).

We saw another parade with the Monsters, Inc. characters.  Sydney told the host (right in front) her name as he went by and he said hello to her.  Later, as he left he remembered her and said "Good-bye dear Sydney".  She felt so special!  All the characters gave her high-fives, too.  She loved it!

She got to go up with other kids to make silly faces so we would laugh and make the laugh meter go up.

Last ride... bumper cars!

We headed the wrong way and ran into everyone.  Too fun!
