Sydney got to learn about moon phases today. We took some chocolate sandwich cookies and removed parts of the creme filling to make the shape of the moon in different phases. Sydney can now look up at the moon and tell me whether it's a waxing or a waning cresent or gibbous moon or if it's a first or last quarter. She remembers them better than me sometimes!
After working on moon phases I told her she could pick a quiet time activity and she decided to pick her spelling words...
